Who we are

Giifftt helps people create wishlists, save gifts from any store and find thoughtful ideas. This page explains what we hold, why, and what you can do about it. Giifftt is available worldwide and this policy applies wherever you use it.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address, display name and avatar.
  • Location settings — the country, currency, timezone and language you choose, used to show prices, dates and stores correctly.
  • Content you create — wishlists, saved gifts, Gift Profiles, events, reservations, moments and notes.
  • Product links you save — the page address, title, image and the price and currency exactly as the store showed them.
  • Usage of the Gift Finder — so we can keep it fast and affordable.

How we use it

To run your account, keep your wishlists and gift ideas working, send the notifications and reminders you ask for, and improve Giifftt. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

A wishlist is private unless you share it. Public wishlist links can be opened by anyone with the link, from any country. Service providers who help us run Giifftt — hosting, database, email and the product-lookup service used by the Gift Finder — process data on our instructions only.

International transfers

Giifftt is used worldwide, so information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Your choices

  • Update your details and location settings any time in Settings.
  • Download a copy of your data from Settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and its contents from Settings.
  • Change your cookie choice at any time.

Payments

If you upgrade an exchange to Secret Santa Plus, the payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by Giifftt. We keep a record of the payment — the amount, currency, date, status and Stripe's reference — so we can confirm your upgrade, handle refunds and keep proper accounting records.

Secret Santa

Your Secret Santa match is private: only you can see who you are buying for, including from the organiser. Anonymous questions are shown without your name. Invitation links are stored in a scrambled form so they cannot be read from our records.
